in the old woods of Birnam
amongst black oaks
there lies a wooden heart

she comes from a city
which never falls asleep
but today she plans her escape

she runs through the forest
leaves foxes behind
she´s trying to find what she lost

her eyes are wide-open
she spreads her wings
she takes off to watch stars collide

all time she thought she´ll gonna die
and that she´ll never see
how it ends
but sometimes it isn´t meant to be
so take your wooden heart
and leave..

and she runs for miles..

till she reaches the northern shore
at dawn: the atlantic ocean
she tosses it into the flood
and no one ever saw her again.
